Lytchett RDA is a member group of the national Riding for the Disabled Association, which gives people with a wide range of disabilities the opportunity to ride for therapy and enjoyment.
We are a small group of volunteers who meet every Thursday and Friday morning in school term time at Rushall Park Riding Stables in Corfe Mullen, Dorset.
We borrow ponies from the stables so that we can run sessions every week for around 20 local disabled children aged between 3 and 11 years.
Most of our riders are students at Montacute School in Poole, a school for children with complex learning difficulties or disabilities.
We also work with a few local children of pre-school age, encouraging gentle exercises and simple games with our colourful play equipment.
